Quick service, functional model

Bought the E-commerce Forecasting Tools. Download was immediate. Model worked as expected. No issues with compatibility. Saved me effort.

Good template, decent discount

I needed a solid Cash Flow Projections template for my startup, and Big 4 Wall Street popped up. I saw they had a small business package deal listed, which brought the price down a bit, maybe 15% off the regular template cost. It wasn't a huge discount, but every little bit helps when you're just starting out. The template itself was robust and saved me a ton of time trying to build one from scratch. Setting it up wasn't too bad, just had to plug in my numbers. For what I paid, it felt like a fair deal and definitely worth the purchase. I'll probably check them out again if I need more templates.

Reliable for my business models

This is my third purchase from Big 4 Wall Street. I came back for the SaaS Financial Models after using their Valuation Models and Dashboard Design services previously. What I appreciate most is the consistency. Their models are always well-structured and easy to adapt. With this last one, the SaaS model, it integrated pretty smoothly with my existing data setup, just like the others. I had one minor question about a specific formula, and their support got back to me within a few hours. That kind of reliability is why I keep coming back, even when there are other options out there. They know their stuff.

I bought their SaaS Financial Model template during the seasonal sale last month. It's mostly good, but I'm finding it a bit complex to customize for our specific revenue streams. Anyone else faced this or have tips?

A ArjunS 3 weeks ago ✓ Best Answer
I got the E-commerce Forecasting Tool during the same sale. It's robust, but yeah, some parts need tweaking. I reached out to their support for clarification on a few formulas, and they were fairly quick to respond, like within 24 hours. Maybe try that?

Is technical support included with template purchases, or is that extra?

M MeeraP 3 weeks ago
Oh, good idea. I assumed support was just for technical issues, not usage questions. Thanks!

I used one of their valuation models and had a similar experience. The core was solid, but adapting it took some time. What software is required for Big 4 Wall Street models? Just Excel, or do they need something more advanced?

M MeeraP 3 weeks ago
I think it's mostly Excel. I haven't needed anything else for the templates I've used.

S Sanjay77 3 weeks ago
Mostly Excel, yeah. Some of the dashboard designs might look better with Power BI integration, but the core models are usually just Excel based.

I'm always a bit hesitant with templates because of the customization part. Does Big 4 Wall Street offer revisions on templates, or is it strictly 'as-is' once you buy it? I mean, beyond bug fixes.
9
G GauravD 3 weeks ago
Yeah, that's what I figured. It's a template, not a custom job.

A ArjunS 3 weeks ago
No, I don't think they do revisions on templates. That's usually for custom modeling. You buy the template, and then you're on your own for modifications.

Just got my custom financial model for our startup from Big 4 Wall Street. The turnaround was way faster than I expected, like 10 days from initial brief to final delivery. Pretty impressed with the depth they went into for the scenario analysis.

Glad it worked out! I had a custom model built for our real estate project a few months back. They signed an NDA without any fuss which was a big plus for us. Technical support was also solid when I had a few questions about integrating it with our internal dashboards.

Good to know about the NDA. That's crucial for sensitive projects.

Did you get any training for the model? Or was it pretty intuitive?

Nice! I've been eyeing their M&A modeling template. Was thinking about getting a few templates together. Does Big 4 Wall Street have any bundle offers or discounts for buying multiple templates?

A AnjaliR 1 month ago
Following this, I need like 3-4 templates myself.

They definitely do bundle offers. I got a few valuation models and a cash flow projection template together last year and saved a bit. Check their 'deals' section or just ask sales.

Oh, that's good to hear! I'm actually looking into their custom modeling service too. Was it expensive? And did you get any kind of first project discount?

N Nikhil88 1 month ago
I heard they sometimes have a first project discount if you ask. Worth trying.

Yeah, I asked about a new customer discount for consulting services and they did offer a little something. Not huge, but every bit helps for a startup.

Heard about Big 4 Wall Street. Are their financial models actually legit? Like, for real businesses and not just student projects?

E Elena C. 2 months ago
Definitely legit. I've used their valuation model for my small e-commerce business and it was super helpful. Made our investor pitch much stronger.

N Neil 2 months ago
Yeah they're legit. I mean, they're not like, replacing a full accounting department, but for specific needs like cash flow or forecasting, they're solid. Been using their stuff for about a year now.

Hey, if I buy a few of their Excel templates, do they give a discount? Or is it just one template at a time?

T Tara 2 months ago
Pretty sure they have volume discounts or bundle offers for templates. I remember seeing something like that during their Q4 sale.

K Kate L. 2 months ago
Yeah, I got a bundle deal on a few templates last tax season. It's not always advertised super heavily but if you look around or maybe add a few to your cart, sometimes the discount pops up.

Trying to compare Big 4 Wall Street with Wall Street Prep for financial modeling training. Anyone have experience with both? Which one's better for actually applying it to a real business?

D Daisy P. 1 month ago
Big 4 Wall Street is more about getting the actual models done or templates you can use, rather than just training you on how to build them from scratch like Wall Street Prep. If you need a ready-made solution, B4WS is probably better.

Wall Street Prep is great for learning the theory and building from scratch. Big 4 Wall Street, from what I've seen, gives you tools you can just plug and play, which is better if you're busy running a business and just need the output, not the 'how-to' training.

Thinking about getting one of their ready-to-use excel templates. Anyone know if they're compatible with Google Sheets or if I absolutely need Excel?

M Mike Brooks 2 months ago
I think you need Excel. Most of these models use pretty specific functions that Sheets doesn't always play nice with. Better to assume you need Excel.
6
D Dana Kim 2 months ago
Yeah, pretty sure it's Excel only. I tried opening one of their freebies in Sheets once and it was all messed up. They're built for Excel, I guess.

Does anyone know if Big 4 Wall Street offers any kind of discount for new customers on their consulting stuff? Looking at their no-code app development.

M Marcus A. 2 months ago
I think they sometimes have introductory packages or something for consulting. Not a direct 'new customer' coupon code like for templates, but worth asking their sales team or checking their site around end of year.

C Chris Romero 2 months ago
I got a small business package deal last year for some strategic planning. It wasn't a 'new customer' thing specifically, but it was a fixed-price introductory offer. So yeah, they do that kinda thing.
